After considering the applications, four candidates were selected, who passed to the second stage of the competition. The second stage of selection for participants was an online interview with the selection committee of the HSE and the Garage Museum of Modern Art, which was organized in the building of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Based on the results of the interview, the members of the selection committee chose the winner, which was Irina Yan, who graduated from Westminster International University in Tashkent. She said:
“For me, studying in the master's program at the Higher School of Economics and the Garage Museum of Modern Art is a unique experience in the field of art and is a strong educational base. I was also lucky with the group, which brought together very interesting and intelligent people with different academic and professional backgrounds and who inspired me to be even more curious. I am sincerely grateful to the Foundation for the opportunity to realize my creative ambitions and be part of this exciting program. I believe that upon returning to Uzbekistan I will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in reality.”
