A series of open lectures will be held as part of the Samarkand Half Marathon educational program.
In Samarkand, at the President Hotel, from 14:00 to 18:00 there will be lectures from representatives of the Reakom Institute, the All-Russian Society of the Blind and Comprehensive Rehabilitation of the Visually Impaired:
From 14:00 to 16:00 lecture "Audio description" (Tifflokommentirovanie)
From 16:00 to 18:00 lecture "Sociocultural rehabilitation of the disabled by museum means."
The lecturers will be representatives of the Reakom Institute: Maria Shcherbakova, head of the department for the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, as well as Sergey Vanshin and Olga Vanshina, who at one time created a versatile audio description system. This system is protected by copyright in Russia.
