The Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan announces the holding of the International Charity Half-Marathon in Samarkand on November 1-3, 2019. This was signed by the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 25, 2019.
The half-marathon will be held in order to attract public attention to the understanding and development of several aspects of our social life:
- inclusiveness of objects of culture and art;
- promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
- development of sports tourism;
- familiarizing the population of Uzbekistan to sports.
The Foundation will act as a working body of the Organizing Committee, ensuring a high-quality half-marathon at all stages.
The Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the International Charity Half-Marathon includes:
Abdukhakimov A.A. - Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Saifullaev B.S. - Minister of Culture, Shadmanov A.K - Minister of Health; Turdimov E.O. - Hokim of the Samarkand region, Umerova G.O. - Deputy Executive Director of the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and others.
The International Charity Half-Marathon is one of the large-scale projects of the Foundation, which is planned to be held in 2019. As part of the half-marathon, a number of sports, educational and inclusive activities will take place.
As the activities within the framework of the half-marathon are prepared, information about the project will be disseminated both on the official website and social pages of the Foundation, as well as in international, regional and local media.
