The Art & Culture Development Foundation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan continues to actively prepare for the “Civilization and Culture on the Silk Road” exhibition, which will be held in the Louvre Museum in 2021.
Currently, the delegation from Uzbekistan holds business meetings with the staff of the Louvre Museum, where they discuss issues related to concepts of the exhibition, the exposition of exhibits, their restoration, transportation and storage, preparation of the exhibition halls of the museum and other details.
Today, on June 7th, a meeting of the scientific-organizing committee of the exhibition has been held in the Louvre Museum in the Molien Hall. Representatives of the Louvre Museum and scientists (France), representatives of the Hermitage Museum and the State Museum of the East (Russia), the Institute of Art Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Art & Culture Development Foundation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France, all took part in the meeting. In the framework of the meeting the creation and release of a scientific catalogue to be released in tandem with the exhibition has also been discussed.
