Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Scala Arts & Heritage Publishers have signed the Memorandum of Understanding has been initiated by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This partnership’s aim is to prepare and publish a series of books on the museum collections and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan. The first title will be dedicated to the State Art Museum of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, named after Savitsky. The production of the materials for the book has already commenced. The publication will include examples of applied art and design and the best-known paintings by Alexander Volkov, Robert Falke, Mikhail Kurzin, Nikolay Karakhan, and others.
Scala Arts & Heritage Publishers is one of the major British publishing houses specializing in books on museum collections and the artistic legacy of modern and contemporary artists. The Savitsky Museum is one of the most important art museums in Central Asia. The museum’s collection is recognized as one of the best collections of Russian and Turkestani avant-garde painting. It also features the collection of applied arts and crafts of the autonomous republic of Karakalpakstan and ancient Khwarazm.
